Thomas Bangs Out 5 Base Hits
|
It was a parade of hits for Andres Thomas of the Greensboro Bats at Met Park today.
Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Thomas finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Bats to a 5-4 victory.
"Thomas was really good and we were really bad," groaned Tides manager Tidewater z-Manager. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."
Andres Thomas singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 9th.
For the year Thomas is batting .285 with 8 home runs.
