Reds Come Back Late to Top Braves
The Cincinnati Reds beat the Atlanta Braves, 6-5, at Riverfront Stadium. The Reds got a fine performance from right fielder Bernie Williams, who captured player of the game honors. He was 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Cincinnati is now 43-44.

Bret Barberie had a nice at-bat for the Reds with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the second baseman hit a walk-off run-scoring single, which would prove important in the Cincinnati win.

"This wasn't a good win," said Williams. "It was a great win."
