Victory Pushes Brewers Record to 46-44
|
It was a good time at Milwaukee County Stadium, where fans came to watch the San Diego Padres and Milwaukee Brewers get after it.
The Milwaukee Brewers topped the San Diego Padres, 7-2, with designated hitter Glenn Davis playing a big role. Davis went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Brewers in the win. Milwaukee is now 46-44, San Diego 36-52.
The Brewers had to work out of trouble in the top of the eighth. The score was 7-2, Milwaukee, with one out. San Diego, with the bases loaded, was mounting a threat. Mike Benjamin dug in at the plate, but on a first pitch fastball, he lined out.
