The Baltimore Orioles scored a 3-2 win versus the Toronto Blue Jays at Memorial Stadium. Baltimore pitcher Dwight Gooden nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Baltimore leads the United League East Division by 10 games.
The Orioles got a big at-bat from catcher Matt Nokes. For the game, Nokes was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 21st home run of the season gave Baltimore a 2-0 lead.
"I was a little disappointed," said Toronto manager Jose Mata. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
