Neagle Pitches Shutout
|
Denny Neagle of the Kansas City Royals spun his magic on the Chicago Cubs today. He blanked them 9-0 on 2 hits, registering 11 strikeouts and no walks.
"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Neagle said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."
Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Kansas City skipper Daniel Drucker said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."
"Denny pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.
