Mets Lose to Senators, 7-4
It was a good time at RFK Stadium, where fans came to watch the New York Mets and Washington Senators get after it.

Washington starter Jamie Moyer pitched effectively against the New York Mets at RFK Stadium. The left-hander led his team to a 7-4 win. Moyer picked up the win for Washington, going 7 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 12-4.

A key moment came in the bottom of the seventh inning when Senators center fielder Brett Butler socked a first pitch fastball to right for a run-scoring double, putting Washington up, 4-3.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Butler.

The Senators now have a record of 38-55.
