Hernandez Lifts Sun Rays to 7-3 Triumph
|
Jose Hernandez made an impact in the 7-3 Orlando win over Atlanta. Hernandez, the 14th overall pick in the 1990 draft, was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. At 57-39, Orlando is in second place in the Federal League East Division.
One important at-bat for Orlando came with two out in the top of the sixth inning. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Hernandez hit a 2-run single, which contributed to the Sun Rays win.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Hernandez.
