Victory Pushes Reds Record to 50-46
|
The Cincinnati Reds stopped the Chicago Cubs, 8-2, at Wrigley Field. The Reds got a big game from Jody Reed, who was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Cincinnati is now riding a 4-game win streak.
Robin Ventura contributed an important at-bat in the top of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he hit a bases-clearing double. It was one at-bat that helped send Cincinnati to the win.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Ventura, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
