Expos Win in Glorious Fashion
|
The Expos had to overcome a fine effort from Los Angeles pitcher Matt Young to grab a narrow 3-2 win at Olympic Stadium. Young went 8 innings and allowed no earned runs. With the win, Montreal has a record of 38-60. Los Angeles falls to 44-53.
The Expos beat the Dodgers in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out double Todd Hundley produced in the bottom of the ninth. Batting against Los Angeles pitcher Scott Radinsky, Hundley gave his team a 3-2 lead when he hit a walk-off run-scoring double.
"This place was jumping at the end," Hundley said.
