Karros has 4 hit night as Cubs Squeeze Past Pittsburgh

Chicago first baseman Eric Karros was instrumental in his team's 5-4 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Karros, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1990 draft, went 4-5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Cubs. The Cubs bumped their record to 52-46 with this latest triumph.

Chicago catcher Mike Piazza changed the game in the top of the eighth when he belted a 2-run home run off Mike Cook. His 22nd home run of the season gave Chicago a 5-4 lead.

"It feels good to get this one," Karros told the Chicago Herald.
