White Sox Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Chicago starter John Burkett pitched effectively against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. The White Sox bumped their record to 56-53 with this latest triumph.
Oddibe McDowell had a productive trip to the plate with one out in the top of the fifth inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single, helping Chicago to the win.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Anthony Perez.
