Expos Raise Rally Flag, Beat Toronto, 3-2

Montreal rode a good effort from starter Pedro Martinez to beat the Toronto Blue Jays at Olympic Stadium. The final score was 3-2. Martinez picked up the win for Montreal, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 8-10. Ken Howell, credited with the save, is now 11 for 14 in save opportunities.
Gregg Jefferies had a productive trip to the plate with two out in the bottom of the eighth inning. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double, helping Montreal to the win.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Martinez.
The Expos now have a mark of 42-67.
