Braves DH Strawberry Gets the Cycle
Getting 4 hits is a good day by any measure, but when those include a single, double, triple and a home run -- that's something special. Darryl Strawberry's day was a special one.

The designated hitter hit for the cycle to spark the Atlanta Braves to a 12-5 victory over the Boston Red Sox at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium today. Atlanta manager Will Henderson said he thought the whole lineup looked good in batting practice, but had not been expecting anything extraordinary from Strawberry in particular.

"Darryl caught me by surprise today," he said. "He looked good before the game, but man, he looked unbelievable during it."

For the day, Strawberry finished with 2 runs batted in and 3 runs scored to go with his 4 hits.

Darryl Strawberry hit a two-run home run off Roger Clemens in the 1st, walked in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, tripled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
