Blue Jays Win at Montreal, 7-3
Toronto right-hander Ed Correa made an effective start against the Montreal Expos at Olympic Stadium, leading his team to a 7-3 win. Correa went 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 6, and struck out 14. His record improves to 11-6. Toronto is now 60-51, Montreal 43-68.

The Expos had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Blue Jays going into the top of the ninth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old catcher Bill Haselman came to the plate. Haselman hit a run-scoring single on a first pitch curveball from Montreal hurler Mike Jeffcoat. It was Haselman's 9th hit of the year.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Correa.
