Dominant Performance by Ruffin in Chicago Win
The Chicago White Sox got a stellar performance from pitcher Bruce Ruffin, who handcuffed the St. Louis offense en route to a 6-1 win at Busch Stadium. With the win, Chicago goes to 58-54, while the Cardinals fall to 66-46.

Ruffin, a native of Lubbock, Texas, was dealing all game. He kept St. Louis hitters off-balance, while giving the White Sox 9 quality innings. Ruffin threw 117 pitches, allowing 6 hits and striking out 7.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Chicago manager Dustin Hafler.
