Sun Rays Subdue Kansas City, 5-3
|
Orlando Sun Rays starter Andy Benes was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Kansas City Royals, 5-3. Rod Beck got the save, his 29th in 31 chances. The second-place Sun Rays have won 4 straight.
Orlando second baseman Craig Biggio gave his club a productive at-bat in the bottom of the third inning. With a runner on 1st and the Sun Rays trailing 3-1, Biggio hit a 2-run home run.
"Enjoyed this one," Biggio told the Orlando News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
