Senators Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Brewers
|
Starting pitcher Luis Aquino pitched well enough to help the Washington Senators beat the Milwaukee Brewers by the score of 5-3. Frank Pastore picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Mike Hartley was tagged with the loss. Their 48-68 record puts the Senators last in the United League East Division.
Walt Weiss helped the Washington cause with two out in the bottom of the ninth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Washington trailing 3-2, he hit a walk-off 3-run home run.
"Nothing fazes Luis," said Washington manager Alexander Cumana.
