Bielecki Dazzles in Milwaukee Win
|
Milwaukee got a first-rate effort from pitcher Mike Bielecki, who frustrated Toronto hitters en route to a 3-0 Brewers triumph at SkyDome. Mike Hartley got the save, his 18th in 28 chances. The Brewers bumped their record to 62-58 with this latest triumph.
Bielecki, the Milwaukee right-hander, went 8 innings, allowing no earned runs on 1 hit. He collected 5 strikeouts.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Milwaukee manager JD Morris said.
