Harkey Pitches San Francisco to Shutout Victory
Today was Mike Harkey's turn in the rotation for the San Francisco Giants and he made the most of it, shutting out the Washington Senators on 2 hits.

The 25-year-old right-hander led the Giants to an easy 7-0 victory, allowing 1 walk and tallying 10 strikeouts.

"I hope we miss him next time," Washington manager Alexander Cumana said. "Harkey certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."

Season-to-date Harkey has rung up 13 wins and 12 losses in 25 appearances. He has an ERA of 2.83 and has fanned 143 batters in 207 innings.
