The Boston Red Sox got a rain-soaked win over the Orlando Sun Rays at Fenway Park.
In a close game at Fenway Park, the Boston Red Sox edged the Orlando Sun Rays, 4-3. Boston center fielder Shane Mack earned the nod as player of the game. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Tom Henke got the save, his 24th in 29 chances.
One important at-bat for Boston came with one out in the bottom of the first inning. With a runner on 1st, Mack hit a 2-run home run, which contributed to the Red Sox win.
Mack told a Boston Chronicle reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
