Spirited fans at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium greeted the Atlanta Braves for their clash with the New York Yankees.

The New York Yankees bested the Atlanta Braves by a score of 10-5, with first baseman Don Mattingly getting the main credit. On the day, Mattingly went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks.
