The first-place Baltimore Orioles welcomed Washington to Memorial Stadium.

Kenny Lofton helped his team muscle past the Washington Senators, 10-4. In the game, the Baltimore center fielder went 4-5 with 4 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
