Victory Over Senators Takes Baltimore to 76-48
The Baltimore Orioles beat the Washington Senators, 8-3, at Memorial Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of first baseman Kent Hrbek, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Baltimore is now riding a 3-game win streak.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Alan Trammell had a game-changing hit. The Orioles shortstop slammed a run-scoring single off Jeff D. Robinson, making the score 4-3, Baltimore.

"Today was a lot of fun," said Hrbek.
