Fernandez at His Best, Whips Senators
|
23-year-old Seattle Pilots pitcher Alex Fernandez had a strong outing against the Washington Senators at RFK Stadium today, keeping them off the scoreboard the whole game. He struck out 5 in the 2-0 win and walked 3 while surrendering 4 hits.
"Hopefully there will be plenty more of these in the future for us," he said.
Fernandez has gone 16-8 this season with an ERA of 3.64 and 168 strikeouts in 190.1 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .216 against him.
