Pilots Need Extra Frames to Get Past Senators
|
The game between Seattle and Washington is in the books, despite a little rain.
Seattle Pilots starter Todd Van Poppel was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Washington Senators, 6-3. The Senators, at 52-76, have lost 4 straight games.
Van Poppel gave Seattle a solid start. The right-hander, who is listed at 6' 5", 210 lbs, allowed no runs on 1 hit over 6 innings.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Van Poppel told the Seattle Citizen. "It's as simple as that."
