Getting an impressive start from Frank Castillo, New York beat Baltimore by the score of 2-1. The Mets bumped their record to 70-64 with this latest triumph.

New York took a 2-1 lead on Sammy Sosa's 37th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Baltimore pitcher Hector Fajardo in the bottom of the seventh.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Castillo.
