Yankees Get Road Win, 7-1
New York Yankees starter Mark Langston turned in an exceptional performance against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Three Rivers Stadium, resulting in a New York win, 7-1. At 57-78, New York is in 5th place in the Federal League East Division.

New York used the bat of Derrick May to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Yankees ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Langston.
