Key Cruises to Shutout
|
Jimmy Key of the St. Louis Cardinals humiliated the Minnesota Twins at Busch Stadium today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 3 hits.
"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Minnesota manager Darren Fischbach, after the game.
Key whiffed 5 and walked 2 in the 9-0 win.
"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Key said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
Season-to-date Key has rung up 8 wins and 11 losses in 27 appearances. He has an ERA of 4.42 and has fanned 128 batters in 191.1 innings.
