Expos Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus Toronto
|
The Montreal Expos got a stellar effort from pitcher Charles Nagy, helping Montreal score a 6-2 win over the visiting Toronto Blue Jays. Nagy, now 14-6, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 2 earned runs. Montreal is now 58-77, Toronto 69-66.
Gary Gaetti in the bottom of the sixth had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and the Expos leading 3-2, the Montreal third baseman hit a 3-run home run.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Nagy told the Montreal Herald.
