Royals Hammered by Rodriguez, Drop Game 3 to Sun Rays
Riding the 2-hit performance of catcher Ivan Rodriguez, the Orlando Sun Rays stopped the visiting Kansas City Royals, 6-4, in Game 3 of the League Championship today. Rodriguez was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Sun Rays, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

Rodriguez had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Sun Rays went on to win.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Orlando manager Ben Tennyson.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Orlando Citrus Bowl in Orlando. Slated to start are Rick Reed for the Kansas City Royals and David West for the the Orlando Sun Rays.
