The San Francisco Giants got a complete game effort from starter Mike Harkey to move into a 2-2 tie with the Baltimore Orioles in the best-of-7 Division Series.

The San Francisco right-hander went the distance at Candlestick Park, cooling off the Baltimore Orioles and striking out 7 to help San Francisco take the 2-1 win that knotted the series.

Harkey was in the zone all game. He frustrated Baltimore hitters while giving the Giants 9 innings of quality work. Harkey threw 114 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 7 punchouts.

"We found a way to get it done," Harkey said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Dwight Gooden for the Baltimore Orioles and Bob Sebra for the the San Francisco Giants.
