The Baltimore Orioles grabbed a 5-3 win over the Washington Senators at Memorial Stadium. Baltimore catcher Matt Nokes was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 to earn player of the game honors. The Orioles, now 2-0, have been playing some good baseball.

Having an impact for Baltimore was Kent Hrbek. In the bottom of the sixth inning, the former first round draft pick had a run-scoring double to make the score 3-2, Orioles.
