Palmer Helps Pirates Run Win Streak to 4
The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Orlando Sun Rays, 11-10, at Orlando Citrus Bowl today. Leading the charge for Pittsburgh was third baseman Dean Palmer. He went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Bryan Harvey notched his 22nd save in 27 chances. The last-place Pirates have won 4 consecutive games.

With the clubs tied 9-9 in the top of the eighth and a runner on 2nd, Pittsburgh sent Palmer to the plate. He got a 1-1 fastball and hit a 2-run home run, to put the Pirates on top, 11-9.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Orlando manager Ben Tennyson. "The effort was great."
