Missions Stumble, Lose to Twins
|
Tacoma Twins starter Todd Frohwirth was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the San Antonio Missions, 8-4. Frohwirth, the winner, moves to 1-2. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 1 walk. Even with the win, the Twins have a dismal 34-89 record.
In the bottom of the second inning with one out, Tacoma shortstop Jim Scranton hit a bases-clearing triple. It made the score 4-0, Twins. For the day, Scranton was 2-4 with a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Scranton said.
