Expos Sneak Past Senators, 7-6
Both teams had their chances, but the Montreal Expos eventually prevailed at RFK Stadium.

Washington got a terrific game from third baseman Chris Donnels. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Montreal, 7-6. Donnels was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Trevor Wilson, credited with the win, is now 3-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. Ken Howell earned his 22nd save in 25 chances.

Montreal took a 7-6 lead on Chad Curtis's 84th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Curtis hit in the top of the tenth, left Washington pitcher Dan Quisenberry shaking his head.

"We got the victory," said Curtis. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

Montreal bumps their record to 62-80 with the win.
