Atlanta Braves starter Greg Hibbard was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Boston Red Sox, 9-2. At 67-78, Atlanta is in 4th place in the Federal League East Division.

Atlanta used the bat of Rich Gedman to get the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Braves ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Gedman.
