The Pittsburgh Pirates grabbed a 12-4 win over the Chicago White Sox at Three Rivers Stadium. Pittsburgh right fielder John Cangelosi went 1 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 to earn player of the game honors. The White Sox fall to 13-18 and continue their uneven start to the 1992 season.

An important at-bat for Pittsburgh came with two out in the bottom of the third. With the bases loaded, Cangelosi hit a bases-clearing double, which contributed to the Pirates win.

"Feels good to get the job done," Cangelosi said after the game.
