Dodgers Win, Boston goes 3-for-4
The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 9-6, in United League action at Milwaukee County Stadium. Daryl Boston received player of the game honors. The 8-year veteran was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Bob Patterson, credited with the win, is now 4-3. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. Danny Heep had a nice at-bat for the Dodgers with one out in the top of the eighth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the left fielder hit a single, which would prove important in the Los Angeles win.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Heep told the Los Angeles Citizen. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
