Multi-HR Game for Bichette in 9-4 Win
|
It was a fun time at Tiger Stadium, where the Los Angeles Dodgers and Detroit Tigers tangled.
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Dante Bichette, the Detroit Tigers defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers, 9-4. Bichette hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Tigers. Danny Jackson got the win, improving to 15-11. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 5.
There was more than one reason the Tigers beat the Dodgers, but Bichette's big at-bat in the bottom of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 3-0 lead when he hit a 3-run home run.
"If it's down the middle," said Bichette, "you might as well hit it."
The Tigers bumped their record to 85-65 with this latest triumph.
