Davis Slugs Brewers to 5-2 Win
Milwaukee and Washington met in a late-season matchup at Milwaukee County Stadium.

Benefiting from Glenn Davis's productive game, the Milwaukee Brewers downed the Washington Senators, 5-2. Davis was 2-3 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Brewers. Mike Bielecki earned the win to go to 11-9. He allowed 2 earned runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 10 strikeouts.

Milwaukee grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the seventh, when Davis, who finished 2nd in the FL in home runs with 51 in 1988, hit a 3-run home run. His 36th home run of the season put the Brewers out in front, 5-2.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Davis.

Milwaukee is in 4th place in the United League West Division with a record of 77-73.
