New York turned a good effort from starter Tom Glavine into a win over the Toronto Blue Jays at SkyDome. The final score was 5-2. New York is now 80-79, Toronto 83-76.

One of the biggest contributors for New York was designated hitter Tino Martinez. In the top of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, Martinez got a 2-1 changeup and hit a 3-run home run. That put the Mets on top, 3-0.

"Feels good to get the job done," Glavine said after the game.
