The Washington Senators picked up a win at RFK Stadium, knocking off the Toronto Blue Jays, 2-1. Starting pitcher Jeff D. Robinson was an essential part of his team's success. Frank Pastore earned his 7th save in 12 chances. At 64-96, the Senators are currently last in the United League East Division.
In the bottom of the fourth, Washington center fielder Brian R. Hunter had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 1st and one out, Hunter stroked a 2-run home run to left. It made the score 2-0, Washington. For the game, he went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Jose Mata.
