Blue Jays Prevail, 4-2, Over Washington
|
Toronto Blue Jays starter Pat Hentgen was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Washington Senators, 4-2. Hentgen, the winner, moves to 4-4. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk. The Blue Jays bumped their record to 84-77 with this latest triumph.
Mike Greenwell had an important at-bat with one out in the top of the third, when he hit a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season put Toronto on top, 3-1.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Hentgen.
