Brewers Losing Streak at 7 After Extra-Inning Loss to Giants
|
San Francisco starter Mike Harkey pitched effectively against the Milwaukee Brewers at Candlestick Park. The right-hander led his team to a 5-4 win. Reliever Rusty Meacham picked up the win. His record improves to 8-3. Brett Gideon took the loss. The second-place Giants have won 6 straight games.
San Francisco took a 5-4 lead on Moises Alou's 36th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Milwaukee pitcher Brett Gideon in the bottom of the tenth.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Alen Maglajac, the San Francisco manager.
