Guzman Struts Stuff in Win Over Texas
|
Juan Guzman of the Minnesota Twins spun his magic on the Texas Rangers today. He blanked them 7-0 on 3 hits, registering 18 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Guzman said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."
Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Minnesota skipper Darren Fischbach said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."
"Juan pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.
This year Guzman has 3 wins and 3 losses and a 2.86 ERA.
