Red Sox Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
Spirited fans at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium greeted the Atlanta Braves for their clash with the Boston Red Sox.

The Boston Red Sox defeated the Atlanta Braves, 10-5, at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium. Boston designated hitter Fred McGriff was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The Red Sox have an impressive 26-14 record.

McGriff had a key at-bat for Boston early in the game. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and gave Boston an early 3-0 lead.
