Conine Helps Royals Run Win Streak to 4
The Kansas City Royals handed the Texas Rangers a sound defeat, 15-2, at Royals Stadium. Jeff Conine was a main contributor to the win. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for Kansas City. Kevin Brown got the win, improving to 9-0. He held the Rangers to 2 earned runs on 5 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 9 and walking 3. The Royals have an impressive 28-13 record.

One significant at-bat for Kansas City came with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the fifth. Royals designated hitter Danny Tartabull hit a 3-run home run, which helped Kansas City go on to win.
