Brewers Prove Rude Guests, Win 6-1 at Montreal
Milwaukee starter Al Leiter pitched effectively against the Montreal Expos at Olympic Stadium. The left-hander led his team to a 6-1 win. The Brewers bumped their record to 23-19 with this latest triumph.

Cecil Espy, who finished 2nd in the UL in stolen bases with 73 in 1987, helped out the Milwaukee cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Espy.
