San Francisco Get 10-1 Win Behind Lefty Deshaies
|
The San Francisco Giants and starting pitcher Jim Deshaies stifled the Washington offense en route to a comfortable 10-1 win at RFK Stadium. The 4th-place Giants now have a win-loss record of 24-24.
Deshaies, a native of Massena, New York, was dealing all game. He kept Washington hitters off-balance, while giving the Giants 9 quality innings. Deshaies threw 113 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 7.
