Dodgers Come Back Late to Clip Tigers
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Detroit Tigers, 8-4, at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers got a fine performance from first baseman Ryan Klesko, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Los Angeles is 5th in the United League West Division with a record of 23-27.
In the bottom of the eighth, Alex Arias had a big 2-run single off Carl Willis. With the single, the Los Angeles shortstop put his team in front, 6-4. He went 1-4, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the contest.
"I had some good swings out there," said Klesko.
